It was off to the valleys, when Enfield travelled to play Rawtenstall in an eventful match. Enfield started the day by winning the toss and decided to bat, however the afternoon started off with some early fall of wickets, with the first 5 batsman falling for a just 28 between them - Lewis Wright top scoring amongst them with 9. However it was with the determination of Adam Bracewell, Tiarnan Hamill and Faheem Basharat putting 195 runs between them help secure a healthy target for Rawtenstall to chase. Notable was Adam falling short his century on 99 not out and Faheem with his half century putting on a steady 53. Rawtenstalls Saliya Saman took 3 for 48, while Ishaq Hussain, Keith Roscoe and Mohammed Tayyib took the other 3 wickets between them.
Now with Rawtenstall in to bat and chasing 237 off 50 overs, it was a early fall of wicket by Matthew Kershaw that made the home side nervous, however a determined batting performance through the top and middle order with big hits from Musa Rehman (29), Saliya Saman (58), Abbass Ahmad (42) and Mohammed Tayyib (40). However with Faheem Basharat getting a 4 wicket haul for 55 runs along with Simon O'loughlin with 3/61 and then Ben Dowling and Yasir Ali taking a wicket each, it left Rawtenstall with an ever unachievable target and eventually reached 217 for 9.
During a cold and grey match on Friday, Enfield overcame Burnley with a hard worked 11 run win. Enfield key player Yasir Ali top scored with 51 not out in an eventful match of early wickets for both sides, However Yasir then went on to take 3-12 to help Enfield to a Friday night win over Burnley at Dill Hall Lane.
Ali's time at the crease resulted in him hitting 51 from just 33 balls in Enfield's 137-6 win. Stuart Els - Enfields Pro along with Jack Cook 21 contributed 26 and 21 respectively, while Burnley bowlers Jack Hargreave with 2-20 and Burnley Pro Ockert Erasmus contributed with 2-22.
Burnley in reply managed chased down Enfields posting with a close 126-8 with Joey Marshall hit 37 and Dan Pickup 21.
